Le Yu is an Associate Professor with Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University. He received bachelor and PhD degrees in the School of Earth Science, Zhejiang University, and did his postdoc in Tsinghua University, and then became a research fellow in the current department. He has been working on the geospatial information system, remote-sensing image analysis, land cover/use monitoring/modeling, and its applications in food security, sustainable development.

        俞乐老师主要从事遥感与全球土地利用变化领域研究，参与完成了全球首套30m地表覆盖制图和30米耕地分布制图，发表SCI论文70余篇；主持和参与多项国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划项目；多次参与科技部《全球生态环境遥感监测年度报告》编写；获第六届清华大学-浪潮集团计算地球科学青年人才奖。
